Ad majorem Dei gloriam<\/strong><\/p>\n The Company of St Gregory is a private association of the faithful, of diocesan right in the Catholic Diocese of Lu\u00e7on, approved by episcopal decree on the Feast of Ss Paul and Paul, 2009. The Company is governed by the Provost who is elected every three years by the full members.<\/p>\n Admission to the Company is by a promise made for one year at a time.<\/p>\n This is the form of the Promise:<\/strong><\/p>\n I, (Name) promise one (academic) year of service to the Company of St Gregory from ___(date). I promise to work for my own sanctification and for that of the youth entrusted to our care, with the help of Almighty God, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.<\/em><\/p>\n Members may, if they wish, make an additional promise after they have\u00a0 served for one year. This is a special kind of “oblation” or offering of one’s life for the cause of Catholic education. This additional commitment runs alongside the ordinary membership of the Company and may be set aside when and if a member leaves.<\/p>\nAct of Oblation<\/strong> (Par le pr\u00e9sent acte je me consacre et me d\u00e9die comme Oblat de la Compagnie de Saint-Gr\u00e9goire . Je promets d’assister\u00a0 au Saint Sacrifice de la messe tous les jours et de r\u00e9citer l’office divin chaque jour en conformit\u00e9 avec les coutumes des Oblats de saint Gr\u00e9goire, pour la plus grande gloire de Dieu , pour la sanctification de ma propre \u00e2me et celle des \u00e2mes de mes fr\u00e8res Oblats et d’autres Compagnons, pour le bien spirituel et mat\u00e9riel de notre Compagnie et de ses membres, pour la sanctification des \u00e2mes confi\u00e9es \u00e0 la garde de notre Compagnie, et pour l’avancement de la cause de l’\u00e9ducation catholique \u00e0 travers le monde. \nI hereby consecrate and dedicate myself as an Oblate of the Company of St Gregory. I promise to attend the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass every day and to recite the Divine Office every day in accordance with the customs of the Oblates of St Gregory, for the greater glory of God, for the sanctification of my own soul and the souls of my brother Oblates and other Fellows, for the spiritual and material good of our Company and its members, for the sanctification of the souls entrusted to the care of our Company, and for the advancement of the cause of Catholic education throughout the world. This is my firm resolve and promise, in the name of the Father and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.<\/em>\n
